Pro bono work is a core part of the ACU law degree. Every ACU law student is required to complete a minimum of 160 hours of pro bono legal professional work experience before they graduate. For students, the benefits of pro bono work are significant. Pro bono provides students with practical legal work experience, helps to develop student’s ethics and values, and instils a sense of responsibility. Most importantly, however, pro bono work provides students with an opportunity to give something back to the community and to serve those who most need help.
